The Boy Who Played With Dark Matter Count of Monte Cristo Book 11 eBook Holy Ghost Writer
This is book eleven of the larger Count of Monte Cristo series. If you have read any of the other books you will know that they are mostly able to stand alone. This one has a follow up book but you won't be lost if you started here, instead of book one. There are huge gaps in time, and different story lines in most of the books. It's nice so you don't get stuck in any one story, there is always new and exciting things going on.
This book is in a dystopian future(about 90 years or so). The author HGW, has done a wonderful job of jumping around in time throughout this series. I'm a fan of historical pieces, but futuristic world's always fascinate me when done well.
HGW doesn't miss a beat, and as always the same creativity we have come to love is present. These books are very easy to read, and don't bog you down with nonsense. That is what makes them great for a wide range of ages. I wouldn't hesitate to give this to my 10 year old son.
It seems some people these days try to impress us with their intellect and put down books that aren't sophisticated enough for them. But I for one read for entertainment, not to struggle comprehension, or impress other literary addicts.
This book does leave us sort of hanging, but the follow up( Zamiria) is out so I won't have to wait to find out the rest.

The Boy Who Played With Dark Matter Count of Monte Cristo Book 11 eBook Holy Ghost Writer Reviews
I read and enjoyed all the other stories in the Count of Monte Cristo series by The Holy Ghost Writer and I have to say this one is just as enjoyable as the rest, if not even a little more so. This story is set about 100 years in the future, in a world much different than we know it today. I’m a big fan of the dystopian genre, and the future depicted in this book is one of the most original and innovative I’ve come across so far.
At first I was a little worried that this would be more of a Middle Grade novel, since the main character, Zeddy is only 6 years old, but this wasn’t a problem at all. The boy has a very high IQ, which worked to compensate for his young age, without sacrificing his youthfulness. The result is a book that is a great read for both the young and the older. The idea of a repressive International Government as the ruling body in the future is very well presented and consequently very believable. The world is also well described, but the story isn’t bogged down with long-winded or boring descriptive narrative. Another thing I really liked is the blending of modernity with ancient legends, such as that of King Arthur and Nimueh, the Lady of the Lake.
Overall, this is a great addition to the series, but works just as well as a standalone book.
An amazing tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat and leave you wanting more.
This is truly the work of a master storyteller. I have quickly become a fan of Holy Ghost Writer whose literary works I have had the pleasure of reading over the past couple of weeks. From start to finish you will embark on a journey that will literally sweep you out of this world and into a realm that is far, very far from our own. In this world you will meet Main Character Zeddy – a six year old boy whose IQ is literally on a hole other playing field that no one can compare too. The boys father, Zane, is no where to be found, the mom Zadie presumes that the police took him, and well… this is only the beginning of a vivid tale told by Author Holy Ghost Writer.
Like with all tales of children with amazing IQ levels Zeddy has to hide before his knowledge is exploited by those with higher authority in the government, who believe he holds the key to saving the world. No spoilers but the ending will take your breath away in a sweeping fashion that left me wanting more. Words to describe this book are Captivating, Vividly Descriptive, Thrilling, and well written in a fast paced manner that all will enjoy. Definitely a Home Run in the Sci-Fi, Dystopian, Teen realm of writing.
5 Stars once again for the Mysterious Holy Ghost Writer.
As an avid fan of the Holy Ghost Writer still on my journey of total bliss with each novel, I happily indulged into my next instalment “The Boy Who Played With Dark Matter”. As always with novels from this series I was nicely surprised by the imagination placed within. The authors mind spawned unique characters, with an adventurous ultramodern plot that could lead characters to their pedalling doom making this an incredible page turner.
Even with all the intensity in this tale I would still happily allow my child to read it as unlike the other novels fit for adults, this is child friendly but still highly entertaining for the adult reader.
The main character is a highly intelligent 6 year old boy named Zeddy who is in search of his missing father. With the help of his mother Zadie, Nimueh, Professor Zenith and his new fond friend Zutterfly they attempt to dodge complications and find solutions in the hope of finding his father.
But will they be able to prevent capture from the IMP?
Can they go undetected from a government who has laid down strict laws that take away the pleasure of simple freedoms?
We certainly can’t wait to read the sequel and revel in the full scheme of this entertaining tale and highly recommend "The Boy Who Played With Dark Matter" as a perfect book for people who want to retreat into science fiction and fantasy.
