Totally not what I thought it was, this is more like a child's book with adult information. I bought this as a gift for a friend and was embarrassed when I saw what it was. I will take responsibility for possibly not looking close enough to see that it is a flat, hard covered, large book that looks like it belongs in a sixth grade classroom. The quality was good but this was NOT what I thought it was.
I was really hoping for more detail specifically on human evolution for a child that has lots of questions about it. It has a LOT of information but somehow is incomplete in my opinion on what it provides for humans.
Perfect book to help explain evolution to my young grandson. Great pictues and clear, consise writing make it easy to understand.
This is a great book dealing with some really tough issues and it does it well. The book starts out with creation stories, and goes on from there. Great resource.
