This is my second Aubrey Dark book, but not my last. I am a fan of this genre and theme, and will definitely read more by her. With that said, I can’t say I liked this as much as HIS. YOURS is obviously along the same lines, but I didn’t feel the same connection with the characters – or the same chemistry between them – as I did with HIS. Two things kept me from loving this read. First, the Prologue was very rich and captivating, but then never played a part in the rest of the read? I would have liked that to be woven into the book somehow, but because it wasn’t, it was distracting. Second, the introduction of the characters included a huge shift in personality traits in too short a time frame. For Jess to be a naïve college student who reads erotica in secret in one chapter, to being a brave and defiant sex slave trainee in the next was hard to swallow. I found the transition just too abrupt to fully buy into. Same with Vale’s character. He went from being a cocky, arrogant “hitman” to a sappy love struck boy in the first 2 chapters? It just made it hard to roll with it after those introductions. I finished it, I liked it, I can see where the characters could have worked better for me, and in the end I’d recommend it. But I can’t give it much more than 3 stars knowing this author has done better. I look forward to reading something new by AD.

This book is emotionally captivating. I read the first page and could not wait to turn the page to see what would happen. It is sad that that are parts of yourself that you can never share with someone else because of their judgement. But it is even nicer that there is that one person that understands you and will love you for yourself (soul mate). Read Vale & Jess story to see how the dark souls come to the light once they find each other.
LOVED IT!
Although it is VERY different from HIS and MINE, I still loved it.
It definitely has a dark theme throughout, but Vale isn't as dark a character as Gav or Rien, so don't expect him to be. He's an actual good guy...maybe.
There's not as much sex in this one, but what sexual scenes are in this are HOT. Aubrey is very good at leading you into a dark abyss of sex where you ALMOST feel guilty for loving it!
Please keep writing these!
After reading the first two novels in this series Well of course, I needed to know what the third book would entail. As I mentioned in my comments for the first book, these kind of Thriller books are not usually my style...I usually find myself skipping pages or skimming down the page, I buy a book to read, not skim through....Well that is not what happen, Not with this series, I was surprised-- to find myself reading every page until the end. all I can say, regarding this series, is WOW!! I tip my Hat to Aubrey Dark, well done!
Oh my this story, it was wild, it was a horror but sadly so true. Lets start with the three students, couple James/Mimi a little wild and think they know everything about life and the world around them, then we have Jessica, that know nothing of life or world around her and always tries to please others instead of staying true to herself, and also she have an mom but she's not quite the loving mom , so Mimi lies to her mom and tells her Jessica is studying for some test coming up. So off they go to learn some very very hard/deadly lessons!
This is a dark romance rooted is human trafficking. A assassin is on a mission to killer a wicked human trafficker but he must get him to trust him to get close enough to do it. While posing as a recruit into the operation, the hero has to commit despicable acts and witness human suffering while battling his consciousness waiting for an opportunity to carrying out his mission.
Vale is a special agent and is ent on a mission to kill El Alfa. Besides dealing drugs, Alfa trains and sells girls for sex. Jessica is on a forced spring break by her friends when she is kidnapped. Vale is to train her or she will be killed. He tries to be gentle with her but knows that if he doesn't train her, someone else will so he had to be rough to keep her alive. I'm not sure how Jessica fell in love with Vale. For a while, I thought Vale's employer was in on the plot as Vale was so clueless as to what to expect.
This book was great, I have not read much of her books but I liked this one. It was dark and yet sweet in other aspects of it. I did not want the darkness to end. It was a great book with a great story line, plus the sex it was good to. It is a type of forced to love type books but still it was a good read and I was not disappointed with it. If you do not like dark reads then please do not read this book you will not like it. It will not be your cup of tea. If you are into the darkness then by all means please enjoy, like I did.

Things were great at first, she was having fun even though sh went behind her moms back to do it. Then she sees a man that is so handsome and she wants nothing more than to kiss him. Vale is on a mission to take down a very bad man, dealing in kidnapping girls and training them to be slaves then selling them. Vale will go in and do what has to be done to get the mission over with he was not expecting to kidnap a girl and kill her friend. He was not supposed to care about anything beside the job he was sent to do. Jessica got under his skin and he wants nothing more than to keep her for himself. Things fall apart and he will try everything in his power to make her his.
